Italy, Calabria, Tarentum, silver Nomos, c. 280-272 BC, jockey on horseback right, crowning himself, Ι Ω in field, IAΛO and Ionic capital below horse, rev. TARAΣ, Taras on dolphin left, holding aphlaston (stern of a warship) and distaff, ANΘ in field, 6.51g, 3h (Vlasto 803-8). Types well positioned on the flan, some iridescence, about extremely fine.
