Austria, Salzburg, Archbishop Max Gandolph Graf von Kuenburg (1668-87), silver Thaler, 1682, commemorating the 1100th year of the Bishopric, shield of arms between St. Rudbert and St. Virgil, P.S. either side of shield, rev. St. Martin of Tours holding a goose and a crozier, and the martyrs Vincentius, Hermes, Chrysanthus and Daria, each holding palm, standing below clouds with rays, 28.54g (Dav. 3509A; KM 233). Attractively toned, light wear on higher points, good extremely fine.
