Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1870, Sydney Mint, second young head left with wreath of banksia in hair, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D:, rev. AUSTRALIA across centre, crown above within tied laurel wreath, SYDNEY MINT above, denomination ONE SOVEREIGN below, edge milled (Bentley 653; McD 117; Marsh 375; Fr. 10). Toned, particularly around devices with some light bagmarks in fields, graded by NGC as VF35.
