Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1867, Sydney Mint, second young head left with wreath of banksia in hair, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D:, rev. AUSTRALIA across centre, crown above within tied laurel wreath, SYDNEY MINT above, denomination ONE SOVEREIGN below, edge milled (Bentley 650; McD 114; Marsh 372; Fr. 10). A pleasing example with light wear to the highpoints, otherwise with good residual lustre in fields, graded by NGC as AU55.
