Augustus (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), Silver Denarius. Mint of Lugdunum, struck 8-7 B.C. AVGVSTVS - DIVI F, laureate head facing right, rev. C CAES / AVGVS F, Gaius Caesar galloping on horseback to right, holding a sword and a shield; aquila stands between two signa behind him, 3.75g., 7h (RIC 199; BMC 500; C 40). Good portrait, well-centred, lightly toned, about extremely fine.
