HIB: REGINA., rev. an ass, attempting to eat a Scottish Thistle, is driven away by a female figure holding a rose, INIMICVS ODOR APPETIV FORTIOR, in exergue, GALLI SCOTIAM AGRESSVRI SOLO ANGLORVM ASPEC TV FVGANTVR 1708, plain edge variety with the initials of Georg Friedrich Nurnberger, mint master at Nuremberg, 43mm, 27.01g (Eimer 429; MI ii 321/146). Good very fine and rare.

This medal is very rare. Examples with a plain edge would appear to be those struck under Georg Friedrich Nurnberger.
