Anne copper pattern Halfpenny undated, dies 2+C*
Anne (1702-14), copper Pattern Halfpenny, undated, draped bust left, legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNA. D:G. MAG: BR. FR. ET. HIB: REG:, some stops weak, rev. inverted die axis, Britannia seated left on globe with shield, holding spear and olive branch, crown above, some light raised rust patches transmitted from die in fields, weight 9.80g (Peck 728, dies 2+C*). Darkly toned with the usual patchy die rust marked surfaces, hairline scratch in obverse field, extremely fine.
The Latin legends translate as on obverse "Anne, by the grace of God, Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland".
