Anne (1702-14), gold Guinea, 1710, third draped bust left, legend ANNA DEI GRATIA, toothed outer border both sides,rev.crowned cruciform post-union emblematic shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of crown over English shield, MAG BRI.FR ET.HIB REG. edge grained, weight 8.36g (EGC. 474: Dies D/2; MCE 222; S.3574).Toned with red colour, retaining much of its original mint bloom, some surface marks and obverse outer edge scratches, otherwise about very fine.
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Anne by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
The 1710 calendar year had a Gold output of £165,362.
