Anne 1710 Guinea third bust
Anne (1702-14), gold Guinea, 1710, third draped bust left, legend ANNA DEI GRATIA, toothed outer border both sides, rev. crowned cruciform post-union emblematic shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of crown over English shield, MAG BRI.FR ET.HIB REG. edge grained, weight 8.38g (MCE 222; S.3574). Light red copper tone, light hairlines and surface marks both sides, a couple of rim imperfections, otherwise practically extremely fine.
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Anne by the Grace of God," and abbreviated on the reverse as "Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
