Aigina, Silver Stater

Aigina (c. 550-525 B.C.), Silver Stater. Turtle, seen from above but with the head in profile, rev. incuse square, roughly divided into six triangular compartments, 12.23g. (Milbank pl. I, 2; SNG Copenhagen 502). Lightly toned and with a well-struck reverse, extremely fine and a rare early issue.
