Aethelstan (924-939), silver Penny, two line type, North-Eastern style I, moneyer Nother, small cross pattée, circles and legend surrounding, + ÆÐEL.STAN RE, rev. three crosses pattée across centre, moneyer name in two lines, NOÐER/MONN trefoil of pellets above and below, weight 1.57g, (N.668/1b; S.1089). Toned, a little weak in parts, otherwise a pleasing very fine.
The legends translate on obverse as "Aethelstan King" and reverse "Nother Moneyer".
