19th Century Token, struck in silver, Yorkshire, Sheffield, Shilling, 1812, Justice personified sitting on a bale, holding scales with sword at her side, ship sailing right in sea beyond, grassy ground below, three blades near sword tip, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, ONE SHILLING SILVER TOKEN, rev. the Arms of Sheffield within laurel wreath, .SHEFFIELD. below, S & C. YOUNGE & Co. in upper half, edge grained, weight 4.44g (Davis 49; Withers 64-66). Some scratches in field, once cleaned, very fine, the rarer final date.
