SMITH. 1666. rev. three line inscription, *S* / N*H / *1/2* within roped circle, legend and toothed border surrounding, *IN* BALDWYNS * GARDEN, weight 1.29g (Norweb 7999; Boyne 91; B.W.106). Toned, a little porosity and weakness both sides, otherwise almost very fine.
Baldwin's Gardens is a small street running east and west between Leather Lane and Grays Inn Road and was named after Richard Baldwin Gardener to Elizabeth I who erected the street in 1589.
