William and Mary (1689-94), silver Fourpence, 1689, Roman I in date, conjoined first busts right, G below bust only with stop preceding, legend reads .GVLIELMVS. ET. MARIA. D.G, rev. crowned mark of value, legend surrounds MAG. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX. ET. REGINΛ, last A unbarred, weight 1.96g (Seaman 84 variety 3, dies D/4; Bull.878; ESC.1865; Robinson p.151:95 (xii); S.3439). Faint haymarking, somewhat off centre in reverse strike, a bold pleasing very fine and rare with the stop before obverse legend.

The Latin legends translate to on obverse "William and Mary by the Grace of God" continuing on the reverse as "King and Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland.

The final A of reverse legend may appear unbarred due to blockage in the die.
