William IV (1830-37), gold Sovereign, 1832, second bare head right, nose points to second I in legend with flat top ear, W.W. incuse on truncation, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, date ANNO 1831 below, edge milled (Bentley 27; Bull EGC 1024; MCE 490; Hill 17; S.3829B). Attractively toned, a few light marks, slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63, rare so well preserved.

NGC Certification 6330833-003 - with Hammersley Collection label.

Calendar year mintage 3,737,065.

The Latin legend translates as "William the Fourth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith".
