William III (1694-1702), silver threepence, 1701, GBA for GRA in legend, date with retrograde Arabic 1, laureate bust right, reads GVLIELMVS. III. DEI. GBA, rev, crowned mark of value, legend surrounds MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB. REX. weight 1.48g (Bull.1320; ESC.2003a; Robinson p.153:130 [iii]; S.3550). Toned, some weakness in strike both sides, few contact marks and die flaws, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as XF45, very rare error legend.

NGC Certification 8220387-010 the NGC label does not reflect the rare variety.

The Latin legends translate to on obverse "William III by the Grace of God" continuing on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
