Victoria (1837-1901), gold Two Pounds, 1887, Jubilee type crowned bust left, eye has vertical die flaw, J.E.B. initials on truncation, legend surrounding with a few stops doubled, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, rev. St George and dragon right, smaller date in exergue, small B.P to upper right of exergue (Dyer 2b/2; Marsh T25 -Dish C206; cf. Schneider 654; S.3865). Toned with original mint bloom, well struck with some contact marks. Slabbed and graded by NGC as MS61.
NGC certification 6019134-080.
Calendar year mintage of 91,345.
The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God," on obverse and as "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith" on the reverse.
