Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half Sovereign, 1880, no die number on reverse, fifth young head left, type A5, date below, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, no die number below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF:, 4.00g (Hill 456; Bull EGC 1289; S.3861). Toned, some nicks under bust, good very fine.

Calendar year mintage 1,008,362.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse as "Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
