George I (1714-27),silver Penny, 1725, laureate and draped bust right, legend surrounds, GEORGIVS. DEI. GRA., the first stop is central above King's head,rev.crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend reads MAG. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX., with small first E, weight 0.50g (Bull.1646; ESC.2328; Robinson p.157:180 (ii); S.3657). Toned some contact marks and hairlines with reverse die breaks, very fine.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George I by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."

The 1725 Penny is the only small silver coin of this date there being no maundy set available.
