William IV (1830-37), silver Groat, 1837, bare head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GUIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D: rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, date in exergue, FOUR PENCE legend surrounding, edge plain, weight 1.87g (Bull 2520; ESC 1922; Davies 383 dies 1+A; S.3837). Toned, almost extremely fine and the rarer Davies variety.

The Latin legend translates as "William the Fourth by the grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
