Victoria (1837-1901), copper Farthing, 1856, young filleted head left, W W incuse on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, two incuse dots on base of shield, legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF: emblems in exergue, weight 4.72g (Peck 1583; S.3950). With some patchy spotting around legend both sides, with plenty of lustre, otherwise uncirculated.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
