Scotland, Robert II (1371-90), silver Half-Groat, Perth Mint, crowned head left, sceptre before with small star at base of handle, tressure of six arcs surrounding broken by neck, trefoils in spandrels. beaded circles and legend surrounding, final letter m omitted, +ROBERTVS+ DEI+ GRA+ REX+ SCOTTORV, rev. long cross pattee, pierced mullet in each inner angle, beaded circles and twin concentric legends surrounding, outer legend +DnS PROT ECTOR mEVm, inner legend, VILL AED PER THx, weight 1.88g (Burns -/11 fig 321; S.5143). The obverse die unrecorded by Burns in his 1887 publication, uneven in shape, toned, weak in parts, a bold very fine and unusual with last m on obverse absent, rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on obverse "Robert by the grace of God, King of Scotland," and on the reverse outer legend "God is my Defender," and the inner as "The Town of Perth."
