William and Mary (1688-94), gold Guinea, 1694, conjoined busts right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. ET. MARIA. DEI. GRATIA., toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, date either side of crown, MAG. BR. FR. ET. HIB . REX. ET. REGINA., weight 8.15g (Schneider 473; EGC 375; Farey 360; MCE 159; S.3427). Toned, weak on high points and art centre both sides, hairline raised flaw in some letters, some hairline scratches otherwise fine.

The Latin legends translate to on obverse "William and Mary by the Grace of God" continuing on the reverse as "King and Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland."

The coinage outputs for the calendar year of 1694 were relatively low with only £57,426 worth of gold and a mere £160 of silver.
