Calendar year mintage of 20,405.

The abbreviated Latin legend translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India."

As only the second currency gold Five Pounds ever produced, mintages were much lower than the Jubilee issue of 1887 [with over 50,000 minted] probably because it was not directly connected to a celebration like a Jubilee, rendering them rarer today.
