Victoria 1892 Florin, Rarest date for Jubilee type, MS63

Victoria (1837-1901), silver Florin, 1892, crowned and veiled Jubilee type bust left, J.E.B. on truncation for engraver Joseph Edgar Boehm, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding both sides, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITT: REG: FID: DEF: (Bull 2960 R2; Davies 819; ESC 874 R2; S.3925). Toned, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63 and the rarest Jubilee date, very rare this well preserved.

NGC certification 3497797-014.

An older NGC slab and we note still only one piece graded one step higher than this of which two others tie for this grade.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God," on the obverse and "Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith." on the reverse.
