Victoria 1887 Two-Pounds MS61 Proof like - Rarest Currency Variation R5

Victoria (1837-1901), gold Two Pounds, 1887, Jubilee crowned bust left, angled J in J.E.B., utilising proof obverse die with the B of BRITT almost touching the 2nd pearl in crown, notably 8 pearls to each crown arch, legend commences VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, no indent at rear of bust for final colon,rev.St George and dragon right, date in exergue, tiny B.P. to upper right of exergue (DISH C205, ; Dyer obverse 1b / reverse 2; Hill T24 'R5'; S.3865). Toned with some light surface marks and proof-like graded by PCGS as MS61 PL, the precise 'rare currency variety' not recorded in the labelling, the rarest currency variation of the Jubilee Double Sovereign.

The Golden Jubilee year for Queen Victoria and the first Double Sovereign of the reign, which has a reported Calendar year mintage of 91,345.
