Victoria (1837-1901),gold Two Pounds, 1887, Jubilee type crowned bust left, normal eye, J.E.B. initials on truncation, legend surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:,rev.St George and dragon right, taller date in exergue, larger B.P to upper right of exergue (Dyer 2c/3a; Hill T26; Schneider 654; DISH C207; S.3865).Toned some light surface marks, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as MS63.

PCGS Certification 207278.63/32673330.

Calendar year mintage of 91,345.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God," on obverse and as "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith" on the reverse.

The 1887 gold Two Pounds was only the second currency piece ever produced, with the previous being that dated 1823 in the reign of George IV; and was minted to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Victoria's reign.
