Victoria 1880 Florin, 34 arcs in obverse border, type B8

Victoria (1837-1901), silver Florin, 1880, Gothic type B8 (1880-87), crowned Gothic type bust left, Latin legend in Gothic letters with linear and 34 arched border surrounding, date in legend in Roman numerals, Victoria d: g: britt: reg: f: d: mdccclxxx, rev. crowned cruciform shields, emblems in alternate angles, quatrefoil at centre, denomination legend, One florin in upper half, one tenth of a pound in lower half, toothed border and rim surrounding, weight 11.34g (Bull 2900; Davies 771 dies 7+B; ESC 854; S.3900). Attractively toned, good extremely fine, practically as struck.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith 1880."
