Ireland, Elizabeth I (1558-1603), base silver Threepence, issued 1601-02, quartered shield of arms, beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark star both sides, *ELIZABETH. D. G. M. BR. FR. ET HIBER' RE', rev. crowned harp, beaded circles and legend surrounding, *POSVI. AVDITOREM. MEV', weight 1.27g (BCW ST-1B/a; DF 254; S.6509). Toned, struck misshapen with some weakness at centre otherwise very fine for issue and very rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Elizabeth by the Grace of God, Queen of England, France and Ireland"; and on the reverse "I have made God my helper."
