George V (1910-36),gold Sovereign, 1925, bare head left, B.M. on truncation for Bertram Mackennal, legend and toothed border surrounding GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:, rev. struck en médaille, St George slaying dragon with sword, WWP under lance, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, high rims (Bentley 364; Hill 220; S.4003). Graded by NGC as MS66, practically as struck.

Calendar Year Mintage 3,520,431 plus 886,000 struck in the reign of George VI.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
