George V (1911-1936), gold Sovereign, 1911 C, Canada, Ottawa Mint, bare head left, B.M. on truncation for engraver Bertram Mackennal, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F. D. IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, mintmark 'C' on ground line, edge milled (Bentley 884; Marsh 221; S.3997). An appealing example toned, light surface marks, graded by NGC as MS62+.

NGC Certification 2124462-009.

Calendar Year Mintage 256,946.

The Latin legend translates as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India".
