Edward VII (1901-1910), gold Sovereign, 1908, Perth Mint, Australia, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, mint letter P at centre of ground line for Perth, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Bentley 854; McDonald 230; Marsh 201; S 3972). A lustrous example with minimal bagmarks on obverse, graded by NGC as MS63.

Calendar Year Mintage 4,875,617.

The Latin legend translates as "Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India".
