Lightly toned, a extremely fine and scarce with the bearded portrait.
The legends translate as "Canute King" on obverse and on the reverse "Edric of London."
Very few portraits appear on Canute's coins depicting him with a beard with the vast majority showing him clean shaven. An unusual visual occurrence in the coinage which adds an extra degree of life likeness to his metallic portrait.
