Bruttium, The Brettii (c. 216-214 B.C.), Silver Drachm. Diademed beat of Nike facing right, a lituus behind, rev. BPETTIΩN, naked figure of river-god standing facing, head turned slightly to left, chlamys draped over left arm, crowning himself and holding a sceptre, Π on right, 4.70g., 3h (Arslan, dies 66/90; cf. SNG ANS 21 (this reverse die); HN Italy 1962). A very good example of this attractive issue, well-centred and delicately toned, nearly extremely fine.
