George VI 1942 Maundy Set

George VI (1936-52), half-silver Maundy set, 1942, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with bare head of King left, with raised HP for Humphrey Paget on right of truncation, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (Bull 4311; ESC 2559; S.4086). Mottled dark tone, mint state in red oblong fitted and dated case of issue.

The mintage for all four denominations for 1940 would produce 1,231 Maundy sets.
