Richard II (1377-99), silver Hardi d'Argent of one sterling, King half-length facing crowned with finger pointing, sword resting upright on shoulder, Gothic canopy above, within linear circle, Latin abbreviated legend surrounding, RICARD' R. AGLIE, rev. long cross pattee, lion and lis in alternate angles, abbreviated Latin legend surrounding, .FRA CIE DnS AQI, weight 1.23g (Elias 228a; AGC 275B dies 7/a; S.8143). Toned with reverse cross ghosted through on obverse, weak face but bolder in other parts and fully readable, very fine and rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translates as "Richard King of England," on obverse continuing on the reverse with "France, Lord of Aquitaine."
