Kingdom of Macedon, Philip II (359-336 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm. Mint of Amphipolis, lifetime issue, struck c. 356-355 B.C. Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOY, Philip, wearing a kausia and a cloak, on horseback left, raising his right hand, a thunderbolt below, ΔH in exergue, 14.41g., 6h (Le Rider 15 (D8/R13); SNG ANS 455-60). Well-centred and well-struck on a broad flan of good metal, light toning over residual lustre, extremely fine, a very good example of a lifetime issue.
